Stanley Oliver Rutterford was born in Lakenheath on 23rd January 1919 (Mildenhall Q1-1919 4A:1196), son of Albert John and Eliza RUTTERFORD (née WELLS). His parents were are Walnut Farm, Butt Lane, Barton Mills in 1911, with his sister Muriel and brothers Cyril George and Albert Claude.

In 1939 the family were still at Walnut Farm - father [28-6-1875] farmer; mother [23-5-1877]; brother Herbert A [8-4-1911] general labourer; sister in law Ivy E [30-11-1914]. One closed record.



He was captured on the fall of Singapore on 15th February 1942 and died of beri beri in captivity.
